The Committee would consider donations to charity given the healthy state of club finances.

London Marathon

The club had two club entries to the London Marathon

  1. 1st draw would go to club members who had applied for a place and been rejected.
  2. 2nd draw to club members who did not meet criteria 1 but wished to be considered.

Closure of Gwyn Evans

The Thursday session had been notified of closure of the pool with effect 13th December (for minimum 6 months)

There had been much correspondence with Wrexham Leisure Department to resolve this, but with no success.

WCBC had offered a 7.15pm slot in a 20m pool in Wrexham. The club coaches were not willing to coach in a 20m pool.

Total Fitness had offered swim sessions 7-8pm Tuesday or Wednesday, but only 2 lanes initially but a possibility of going to 4 lanes

It was proposed that

  1. SRS inform WCBC that the proposed 7.15pm session should go ahead but coaches would need to be found.
  2. Total Fitness would be asked to admit Wrecsam Tri members on a weekly basis
  3. If this was not possible, Total Fitness would be asked what was the best membership deal that could be offered to Wrecsam Tri members who who wished to transfer from the Gwyn Evans session.

All kit was present at the meeting.

Next items for order would be Tri Tops in readiness for 2010 season.

Meeting closed at 11.57am
